Kenya give up on W/Cup ticket

Coach of Kenya national team, Adel Amrouche has lost hope of booking a 2014 World Cup ticket, and will now shift his attention to the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
According to the Algerian born Coach, he is building a largely youthful team and a blend of experience with the aim of being at the continental scene in a year and a half’s time.
Nigeria beat the Harambee Stars 1-0 in Nairobi on Wednesday, leaving six points separating both teams with two games to play.
“Rome was not built in one day.  I want to go step by step; build a team from the goal keeper to the strikers,” he said to
“I want to have four youth players in the team at all times.  We need to play in the next Africa Cup of Nations,” he summed up.
Kenya have been to the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) five times, the last of which was in the year 2004 under Coach Jacob Ghost Mulee who had led the side in the qualifiers.

The 2015 AFCON, the 30th edition of African showpiece, will be held in Morocco from 17 January – 7 February across six venues.
